  17.  The ScanTek scanner driver has the following features:
  18.  
  19.  1. Support of the following SCSI Microtek scanner models:
  20.         MICROTEK IISP, MICROTEK II, HIGHSCREEN Flatbed Color IIs,
  21.         ScanMaker E3, ScanMaker 35t, ScanMaker E6,
  22.         Highscreen PerfectScan, Highscreen HighScan
  23.  
  24.     Support of the following SCSI Mustek scanner models:
  25.         Three Pass Scanners:
  26.         6000CX, 8000CX (not tested), 12000CX (not tested) all should work
  27.  
  28.         One or Single Pass Scanners:
  29.         6000SP, 8000SP (not tested), 12000SP (not tested) all should work
  30.         6000CZ (not tested), 8000CZ (not tested)
  31.  
  32.         600IISP, 800IISP (not tested) all should work
  33.  
  34.     If your scanner is not mentioned in the list above try it and
  35.     give me a response whether it works or not.
  36.  
  37.     Attention: In recent times Mustek has changed the scanner firmware.
  38.                I urge you to test Mustek scanners with your Amiga
  39.                configuration before buying it.
  40.  
  41.                Mustek scanners have a critical SCSI interface. It
  42.                was reported to me that these scanners may not work
  43.                with the A3000(T) internal SCSI interface. It is
  44.                possible that these scanners do not work with other
  45.                SCSI host adapters, either.
  46.                But the Mustek 6000CX works in combination with an
  47.                Oktagon SCSI host adapter.
  48.                Be sure to disable reselection for Mustek scanners
  49.                on your SCSI host adapter. Otherwise your system may
  50.                not boot.
  51.  
  52.  
  53.  2. Support of black/white, built-in halftone (dither), one-pass-color-scan,
  54.     three pass color scan, grey, red, green and blue scan.
  55.  
  56.  3. Individual setting of resolution, scanning frame, contrast, shadow,
  57.     midtone, highlight, exposure time and scanning speed for download to the
  58.     scanner.
  59.  
  60.  4. Download of a color look up table (gamma correction table ) to the scanner
  61.     supported.
  62.  
  63.  5. Scanning to IFF File of 1, 8 or 24 bit color depth. The maximum size of
  64.     the scanned image is independent from the RAM size. After the scanning
  65.     process it is possible to start an external program.
  66.  
  67.  6. GUI for preview and configuration of the driver. You need Kickstart 2.04
  68.     but Kickstart 3.0 is recommended.
  69.  
  70.  7. Sizeable preview window in black/white or grey scale. Color preview
  71.     on Cybergraphix screens (15, 16 or 24 bit necessary).
  72.     There are much more skilled programs to view and manipulate the scanned
  73.     images in color. (A tool like ADPRO, IMAGE FX or so is needed, if you
  74.     want to do sophisticated postproduction)

  76.  8. ARexx support
  77.  
  78.  9. Screenmode requester to define custom screen for working. The actual public
  79.     screen is supported as well
  80.  
  81.  10. Configurable SCSI device and SCSI ID. The driver supports only SCSI
  82.      connectable scanners.
  83.  
  84.  11. The driver is tested with the following SCSI drivers: oktagon.device and
  85.      gvpscsi.device V4.5.
  86.  
  87.  12. ScanTek is written using SAS C 6.55.
  88.  
  89.  13. ScanTek is SHAREWARE.

  91.  14. The non registered version of ScanTek is a full working version, but all
  92.      scanned images have black lines to motivate you to register.
  93.      Additionally the maximum size of the preview is restricted.
